2024 Immersia: Engaging with Asia and the Pacific
Have you ever wondered what research academia and university learning, teaching and study are all about?
Does it sometimes seem cryptic and abstract to you?
Here’s your window into this world—presenting IMMERSIA: Engaging with Asia and the Pacific— a culturally immersive experience for participants and attendees alike.
IMMERSIA is all about cultural immersion for that real-time experience of all the cultural and research diversity we represent. Starting off as a fledgling vision in 2019 as part of the ANU School of Culture, History & Language’s flagship program, IMMERSIA has evolved to become much more, aiming to drive student experience, wellbeing and the spirit of community.
This flagship multicultural perspectives festival brings together the versatile and multidisciplinary faces of ANU into one cohesive, fun and immersive experience. Celebrating the diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism we stand for, IMMERSIA aims to bring our research, student and local community together and strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing across the university and the ACT region.
Held on the ANU Acton Campus, this annual festival program will run from 9 to 23 September 2024. It is free to attend. There’s lots in store for everyone, from calligraphy and dance workshops to yoga, recitals, and a diverse range of cultural workshops from across the Asia-Pacific region. There are also book launches, exhibitions, and performances to look forward to.
We warmly welcome you, your colleagues, friends, and family to come and immerse yourself in the vibrant hues of our multicultural showcase. Get set for lots of immersive cultural learning, fun, and festivity!
