In light of the ongoing encampment protest in Kambri, the University emphasises the importance of treating each other with respect. ANU fosters respectful debate and and we are proud of our long history of student political engagement. Our policies ensure academic freedom and free speech, allowing all students and staff to express their views within Australian law and the staff and .
The University does not condone any speech or actions that is discriminatory or violates Australian law or our code of conduct. Necessary disciplinary action will be taken if our codes are breached.
If any students are feeling distressed our are available to provide wellbeing support Monday - Friday between 9am - 4pm.

A Multicultural Festival to remember: Toad Hall's 50th anniversary
|
Toad Hall also celebrates its 50th anniversary and ANU Students can enjoy an evening of dance, music and cultural performances this Saturday at Toad Hall’s annual Multicultural Festival.
“It’s a free event which is very exciting. You will see performances from different countries. It is a great opportunity to witness the diverse cultures” says senior resident Garry da Gama
Toad Hall is a thriving on campus residence with a diverse community and a history of successful alumni. Among its 227 residents, roughly 35 countries are represented in the cohort of ‘Toadies.’ There is no doubt that this year’s bash will be bigger than ever.

Nurses play a huge role in the health industry, and we are so lucky to have talented and dedicated nurses at ANU. To celebrate International Nurses Day, we spoke to Casie Causley, a registered nurse at ANU Medical Centre.

Book launch: Dreaming Ecology
|
Thursday 16 May, 5.30-7pm
The late Deborah Bird Rose is a renowned anthropologist and environmental humanities scholar. Her book Dreaming Ecology explores a holistic understanding of the interconnections of people, country, kinship, creation and the living world within a context of mobility. It offers a telling critique of the loss of Indigenous life, human and non-human, in the wake of white settler colonialism and this becoming ‘cattle country’.
This is a flagship title book launch for ANU Press.

This seminar on Labor and Politics in Northeast China from 1948-58 hosted by the explores the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to politically mobilise the workforce of Anshan Iron and Steel Works (Angang), then China's largest steel enterprise, during the first decade of their rule of Manchuria (Northeast China).

Southeast Asia resource showcase

The and the Menzies Collection Management Team are hosting a collaborative event to showcase the Southeast Asia collection alongside morning tea.
This event offers an overview of library resources, including the Menzies Collection, Southeast Asia archives, and related services. The Menzies Collection Management team will provide one-on-one assistance and information at drop-in desks.
